Drawing review
Send your part drawing, material specification, annual quantities and finishing requirements. PDF, IGS, STP and CAD files are welcome.
02Wax pattern
A wax pattern defines the component geometry. Patterns are assembled in preparation for the investment casting shell.
03Shell & casting
The silicasol shell is built around the wax pattern. After wax removal, the prepared shell is used for metal casting.
04Precision machining
Functional faces, bores and connection features are machined according to the approved component drawing.
05Finish & review
The specified surface treatment and component checks complete the agreed manufacturing route.

The range includes stainless steel, carbon steel, low alloy steel, aluminium alloys, bronze and copper alloys, nickel and cobalt base alloys, and ductile iron. Please specify the required material grade with your enquiry.
Can you supply fully machined castings?
Yes. Dana offers investment casting, precision machining and surface treatment. Send the finished-part drawing so that casting and secondary operations can be reviewed together.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please include a drawing or CAD model, material grade, order quantity, critical dimensions, surface treatment and any inspection requirements. PDF, IGS, STP and CAD formats are accepted.

How can I send drawings?
